Video of Elsa

Learning how to made a video, or what some call a photo montage, has been something I've wanted to do for quite some time.
I am so excited that I have finally figured it out. I am still learning, but for the most part I figured it out on my own. I do need to thank Ben for his pointers and steering me in the right direction.
I took off my music for now, because with Ben's help, I was able to figure out how to get music onto the video.
So here goes.......

I hope you all enjoy watching it as much as I enjoyed making it.

Oh what do you do in the summertime?

School books have been packed up, final exams have been taken and school is over until August.
Now it is time to have a bit of fun and relax.
We've been having fun going to the library, reading new books, playing games and being outdoors.

This weekend the girls made Chris breakfast in bed.....

made him a card......

and got him stuff to make himself an ice cream sundae.

I am finally posting Elsa's two month photo.

I can't believe she's almost three months.

Time is flying!

I made some matching file folder games for Myles to help him with

his numbers, letters, shapes and colors.

I ran out of velcro, so I was only able to complete three games so far.

And finally the girls and I are in the process of learning how to make our own videos.
Here are the girls first ever attempts.
Ben is going to fill us in on how to add music.
For now you'll just have to use the music on my blog to go along with the video.

Christopher,
what an amazing father you are.
I love that it is so apparent how much each of our children loves you. I love that time is, for them, measured by how many hours it is until you get off of work. And how by 3:00 pm they are watching out the window for your car. I love that as soon as they see that you have come home they are either out the door or at the door to greet you with squeals of delight and hoorays.
I love how the girls meticulously plan for dates with you, and what a good sport you are with them, going to the mall to let them try on fancy dresses or to the Indian shop to browse the goodies, and then out for a bite to eat (even if it is just a Frostie at Wendy's). I am fascinated at the lengths they go to to make sure you get treats, like when Rhaevyn only has a coupon and money enough for one root beer float she shares it with you.
I love watching Myles get so excited about playing race cars with you, or just watching race cars with you, and flying his kite with you.
I love the way you spend time with them: kite flying, star gazing with your telescope, playing at the playground, or just going on a walk.
I love how patient and loving you are with our children.
My favorite memory with each of them is when you hold them for the first time when they are born. It is mesmerizing just watching you gaze, with such affection and amazement, into their little faces.
I am so thankful to be blessed with such an incredible husband and am so grateful that our children have been blessed with such a wonderful, loving daddy.
I love you, dear!

Our little dumpling.....

is getting to be not so little anymore.
Elsa Mae had her two month well child check today.
Now I know why she is barely fitting into her 3-6 month onesies. She is growing like a beautiful weed.
She now weighs 13 lbs 3.8 oz and is 23 3/4 inches long.
We met our new pediatrician today, and I like her. She seems very nice, and she really took her time.
We weren't rushed at all.
And I love the rooms. There is seating for everyone. I don't have three kids fighting over one chair.
So, while change is hard (not having Kaiser or Dr. W anymore) we were able to find some positives with the new clinic and doctor that we have.
Elsa is holding her head up really well and is starting to grip things like shirts, her blanket, etc.

I realized about a month ago that Myles knows the difference between who is a boy and who is a girl. Here he is getting quizzed by me. I love the way he says girl, and I especially love it when he calls his girls (Rhaevyn and Aeva) to come help him.

Weekend Update

We just finished a day of yard work.
Chris and I are tuckered out and sore.
Weeds have been picked, and the lawn has been mowed and weed-whacked.
The back patio has been swept and rearranged.

Now time to rest.

Rhaevyn watched Elsa inside while we worked in the yard. I told her I'd pay her a dollar......her first babysitting job :) She was sweet too, bringing us glasses of water to drink while we toiled.
Myles helped for about 60 seconds and then found a rolly polly and a lady bug. The rest of the time he walked around with those in his hand admiring them.
Aeva thought she'd like to help, but she wasn't crazy about all the bugs so went back inside.
She came out later to help sweep up the grass on the walkway.
Right now all three of them are happily playing in the backyard (now that it isn't such a jungle).

Chris came home with a treat for me on Thursday.
Voila!

I have been wanting a cruiser, and since this was in our price range at the Goodwill he couldn't pass it up. He said he got to the front door to walk out of the store, but then thought better and decided to get it. It is a bit rusty, but he says he might try and take the fenders and handlebars to work to have them powder-coated black.
I went on a bike ride yesterday with the girls. I haven't ridden a bike in years. I had forgotten how wonderful it is to have the wind blowing in one's hair. It was so thrilling!

A few pictures and videos

I don't have much time to write.
I just thought I'd post a few pictures and video clips.
I can't believe our wee one is two months old already.
Next week she has her first round of shots
and we will meet her new pediatrician.
I have my fingers crossed.

The girls have been pretty busy with end of the year school work.
We can see the light at the beginning of summer, or the light at the end of the school year,
however one wants to look at it.
We are all very ready for the break.
So, semester reviews and grading semester assessments have been keeping me busy and away from emails and the blog.

The neighbor boy next door, Sam, brought this over for Myles on Monday.
He and his mom got it at the Dollar Store for Myles. He absolutely loves his new pirate get-up and keeps asking me to help him do a thank you picture for Sam.

As promised, here are pictures for Oma of Myles in his new pajamas.
He loves them and would wear them every night, probably, if he could.

Myles has been pointing up to the Chess game in our closet, begging Chris to get it down.
On Sunday, Chris relented and the two of them sat on our bed and played chess.
Myles had a blast and told me all about daddy taking his "horsey" during the game and how he took daddy's King. Mind you, there were lots of sound effects with that.
