Creations

Here we are nearing the end of January. I can hardly believe that February is practically upon us.
We had a visit from Ben and Stacey and had such a lovely time just sitting, relaxing, eating, gabbing, and laughing. Love spending time with them. I tried out my latest recipe of Philly Cheese Steak sandwiches while they were here. I think it was a hit. We went a bit French Dip style with it.

Been doing some creating around here.....................

Myles created a wonderful meal for us the other night. Deep dish pizzas with Strawberry lemonade slushies. Here he is kneading the dough. He did such a good job and was super excited to finally be able to make his dinner that he had planned out.

He and I also made bean bags for his multiplication memorization. He helped to cut them out, pin them, and then fill them with beans. He didn't want to risk getting his finger caught in the sewing machine, so he let me do that part.

For Scouts he and Chris put together a wood ski boat. They had fun doing that, and he got to use his new tools.

On a side note, Myles got treated to a day out the other day. A sweet friend, whose daughters have all been babysitters for us, took him to Barnes and Noble, let him pick out three books, and then took him out to lunch. Sounds like he ate like a king.....................BLT, Ceasar salad, slice of pie, and a milkshake. Every once in a while he gets a day out like this, and it sure is special for him. A Myles day with no sisters.

Rhaevyn created (with a bit of help) 4 dozen delicious cinnamon rolls. We just got word that they were a big hit and got another order for next month. It was a lot of work, and I think the only thing tempting her at this point for the next order is the money. She made $20 over her asking price. The gal that placed the order is super sweet!

Rhaevyn has also been busy with her yarn and crochet hook. She has been crocheting some little peg covers for her violin. I think she is just in the beginning creative process, but wants to see if this is something that other violinists might be interested in. She got the idea from her teacher who has some. A hat, and a Pokeball. She couldn't find the cute blue mitten one she had made.

Aeva has been busy with her art creations. I think if left to her druthers she'd just draw (and write) all day long. Here are  two of her latest.

 Just two random pictures:

Elsa, my little pineapple monster.

And Meg in her bed. She has been so good at sleeping in it. She did 6 whole hours the other night in it. Some nights it's only 4, but I think it's progress.
 And that is a wrap.

Begining 2015

So, we said goodbye to 2014......................
the girls went to a church dance (Aeva's first), and the rest of us stayed home and relaxed.
Elsa and Meg said goodbye to 2014 with a movie and some dancing.

Now we've all said goodbye to our lazy days of vacation and are back to reality with work and school.

Meg is now officially walking and getting two molars in. She now has her very own bed. So far she has just done naps. We finally got the rest of the bed together, so she will be sleeping in it at night soon we hope.
I just marvel that a year ago she was this brand new baby that just slept most of the time in our arms, and now she is walking all over the place, into all the drawer,s and saying words. So much fun to watch them grow though.

Meg decided to hop in the tub with Elsa. She had just had her own bath. We heard loud screeching from Elsa and when we arrived at the bathroom door this is what we found. Look at the innocent face!

Here are some pictures of Meg's new bed. We tried a makeshift trundle under Myles' bunk bed, but it just was not going to work. So, Chris scavenged for a bed I had seen and found it for me. Love a good deal on Craigslist. We got if for less than half the price new.

Here is Meg with Chris helping him put her bed together and handing him parts.

Elsa and Myles had to try it out. It's big enough for two little kids to sleep in and is extendable. It should last her a good 5 years

Here are two pictures of Meg and big brother Myles.

And now for another exciting week!
