Baby in Blue

Just love Meg in this color blue. Thank you, Oma :)
She was all dolled up for church yesterday.
She had her 4 month check up and is one ounce shy of 14 pounds.
I was looking over the other four kids' weight and lengths at 4 months.
She is pretty light in the weight department. Aeva was the only one lighter than her at that age.
However, she ties with Myles for being my longest baby. At four months they are the exact same length 25 1/2 inches. She has finally recovered from getting her shots.
She has started to laugh. She really did some great laughs last night. We were at a friend's house and she was watching their dogs play. She laughs just like Rhaevyn did. And oh how I loved it when Rhaevyn laughed as a baby. It almost sounds like she is crying. Positively adorable!

Friday night Chris and I had a date. We planned to go pick out paint for the living room. We ended up with a new bathroom ventilation fan, light fixture, and paint for the bathroom. Installation of the fan did not go as well as planned. It is in, but the girls have a big crack in their ceiling. But all shall be well Thursday evening I hope. A good friend is coming to help Christopher fix it. The fan works amazingly! So, I guess it was all worth the trouble in the end.

Rhaevyn has her first violin recital coming up in May. She is not overly thrilled, but it will be good for her.  Then the church youth orchestra will perform in June at the fairgrounds three times.

Aeva is getting braces on in May. She is absolutely thrilled!  I'm preparing her for the pain that will come after getting them on. I told her we'll give her something for that and make sure she has soft foods. I'm glad she is excited about it. She already has plans to eat everything the week before braces go on that she will not be able to eat while they are on.

We are coming off of Spring break and getting back into school. It was a slow day today, but the little ones enjoyed watching our new front window being installed. It's nice to have a clear window once again. They thought it was fun to stick their head and hands outside while the window was off. Ahh, the little things that bring such joy when you are young!

We took a little excursion down to sunny Northern California for a family reunion.
Along the way we stopped in Medford, Oregon and had fun on the bumper boats and go karts, as well as an ice cream treat afterwards at Dairy Queen.

Then it was time to finish the last leg of the journey to Santa Rosa, but we stopped in for a tour of the Jelly Belly factory first. At the end we got little packets of jelly beans. One packet was Tabasco flavor jelly beans. Elsa really wanted to try them. She was fine for the first couple of seconds and then decided they were definitely not for her.

Friday morning it was off to get some sun hats, and then kite flying and sand castle building with Ben and Stacey. Myles got to fly his T-Rex kite. Chris finally go his kite up and flying for all of 10 minutes before it was time to head out, and  we almost lost Aeva's new flip flops in the surf. Luckily the waves helped to bring them up enough for me to run out and grab them. Poor Elsa was so scared that I was going to swept out to see while rescuing the flip flops. Ben and Stacey were schooling each other in proper sandcastle building. Afterwards we met up with Cullen and Clay (and Company) at Mary's Pizza. Lots of fun to sit and visit with them while eating some yummy pizza!

That evening we had some family photos taken. Myles and Cash, and Elsa and Tuppence became fast friends. Elsa wanted to know if we could keep Tuppence. After pictures we went to visit Christopher's mom. Myles very much enjoyed doing a majority of the talking while we visited with Grandma Jean. He and Elsa loved petting Misha.

Saturday, after visiting at my parents house for a bit, we went to the family reunion which was so much fun but not long enough. I got some wonderful pictures of Elsa and Meg with Papa and pictures of Meg with three of her Great Aunties.

After the reunion we headed over to the Oakland Temple. The sun was out and it was absolutely gorgeous. It was so nice to walk around the grounds, and it brought back memories of our wedding day almost 20 years ago.

Sunday morning came too soon. We did our best to do what we wanted to while we were down in California, but as always time went too fast.
Here is Meg on our fist leg of the long drive Sunday................all smiles. We were all glad to crawl into our beds at 10:00 that night.
All in all it was a very fun, fabulous, and memorable trip!

Four Months Today

Our little Meg is four months today. We all agree that she is growing up way too fast for us.
I've taken a photo of all four girls in this green outfit. I love seeing how they all look so much alike.
Yep, they all look like Lindsay babies :)
I made two skirts for Aeva, and then I had left overs so I made one skirt for Meg and another skirt for Elsa. This is Meg in her new skirt.
Here is Aeva and Elsa in their matching skirts.
I found this adorable dress at a second hand shop here in town. Fortunately for Rhaevyn it didn't fit me, but looks great on her.
Here are some pictures of "Bay--bee" (as she is affectionately called my Chris)
with her daddy.

And it's time for another week to begin.
