Hello

We've had a fun and event filled week.
And tomorrow we get to start a whole new week.
Here is what we've been up to.

Elsa loves walking around the house with her baby and purse.

On Wednesday Aeva made ginger crinkles all by herself.
The only help she got from me was cracking the egg.
She got the recipe from a book she is reading about the depression.
They were soooo yummy, and quite the hit at the talent show refreshment table.

Thursday we were up bright and early.
Poor Myles thought I had gotten him up in the middle of the night because it was still dark out.
We drove up to Chehalis for a fieldtrip to a bakery. My best friend, Jill, and I along with my children and her children and mom caravaned up there.
It was such a cute bakery on the main street of Chehalis.
The kids got to watch bread being made.
They got to taste two different kinds of bread, see and smell sourdough starter, and they each got two snicker doodle cookies.
They had many tasty looking treats there.
My little Elsa soaked through her diaper and clothes. I had only brought one extra diaper and no change of clothes for her. I can't even remember the last time I had to have an extra change of clothes for her. So there for a while she was just in a diaper, pair of socks and a fleece vest.
Anyway, it was a good reason to make a stop at the Carter outlet to get a new, clean and dry outfit. All the kids picked one out for her.It was extremely hard to settle on just one item.

That night was the WAVA talent show.
We tried to talk Rhaevyn in to playing a piece on her violin, but couldn't do it.
She did agree to do some drawings though. I am sure she got this talent from Chris.
I think she is quite good at drawing free hand.
She worked really hard on the following drawings for two weeks.

She drew a picture of Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty.

Here is a Victorian Lady.
Rhaevyn loves drawing Victorian era dresses.
I had to look high and low for her Spider man drawing. I know it is hard to see it.
She drew it several months ago for Chris. It had been folded up for a couple of weeks.
The other drawing is Shaak Ti from Star Wars Clone Wars series.Aeva played her Rainbow Connection.
She was the first to play and was glad of that.
I think the anxiety was getting to her.

Here is my little munchkin. She found one of my hats the other day and loved wearing it around the house.
Last night I made her some pretty hair bows to wear today.
My pointer finger has a battle scar now from the hot glue.

I think Myles looks so handsome in his Sunday outfit with his new tie.
He thinks it is the bee's knees! He loves that he can zip it up and down.
Now looking at this picture I realize he is growing.....his pants look a bit short.

Well, hope you all have a perfectly wonderful week ahead of you :)

Pictures

Aeva had her date with Chris on Friday night.
They went out to dinner, Target, Joanna fabric and Sportsman's Warehouse.
They had a great time.

Poor Myles needed a date too, and has had one planned for him and me for two weeks now.
Our date was yesterday.
He got to choose where we went to lunch. He decided on Boppin Bo's.
I think he chose this because his sisters went there on their dates with Chris and brought back a cardboard 50's style car.
Now he has one of his own and is in heaven.
He was such a gentleman and even paid the bill. He was too cute to watch as he walked up to the cashier and paid.
Afterward we went to target to look at Lego's, and Myles got a new car seat. Then it was on to two pet stores and See's candy.
He feels like such a big boy now that he gets a car seat with the regular seat belt. I love that he can buckle himself in and so does he!
Oh we also went shopping for ties.
Every once in awhile Myles likes to wear Christopher's bow ties.
However, one had to be tossed and the other one is lost in a black hole around here.
Last week Myles was so distraught while getting ready for church because he wanted to wear a bow tie and none were to be had.
So yesterday he got to pick out two ties.........one regular and one bow tie. It was fun watching him try different ones on and look in the mirror to decide if he thought it was "the one" he should get.
He looks so handsome!

Getting ready for church.

Rhaevyn in her new dress she picked out.

I couldn't resist posting this last video.
As I came around the corner yesterday this is what I found my
little Elsa doing. I laughed so hard.
Hmm, I wonder where she learned to dance with her baby doll to music?
Imitation is truly the sincerest form of flattery.

Best wishes for a very wonderful and happy week.

A Little Bit of This, and a Little Bit of That

Nothing too exciting going on in these parts.
School is going really well. I have worked out the kinks of our new schedule and we're loving it.
This leaves time for more field trips, documentaries, learning games, etc.

Next week we are going on a field trip to a bakery, and the girls are attending a talent show.
Aeva is going to play the piano, and Rhaevyn is entering some artwork.

Aeva is looking forward to her date with Chris tomorrow, and Myles has one planned for him and me on Saturday. Hopefully he will be well enough to go. He has been sick the last couple of days, and so has Elsa.

Aeva helped Myles make a boat. He wanted in the bathtub so badly.
Unfortunately, he learned that cardboard does not last very long in water.

Elsa has been keeping us on our toes, as usual, and making us laugh.
Can anyone say, "Chocolate!"
Myles has been cracking us up lately with his use of words.
He was looking through his drawing notebook and came across a page with someones coloring. He said "I suspect that Aeva did this without permission."

Then Rhaevyn and I were watching a documentary on Woodrow Wilson, and Rhaevyn was going to turn up the volume when Myles spoke up and said, "Allow me."

Elsa loves to dance.
Whenever music comes on she just has to dance.

She loves dolls.
This one she inherited from Aeva.
We all had to not giggle too loudly while I was taking a video of this.
It was so cute watching her with the dolly and diaper.

It's onward and upward to another fun adventurous week.

Smiles All Around

Not much to tell these days.
We are just busy with school work and work.
Rhaevyn had a date with Chris on Saturday.
It was non stop talk when they got home.
She couldn't talk fast enough to tell me all the fun stuff they had done.
Shopping, lunch, Seas Candy.
And some of us got our haircut yesterday.

Love this smile :)

Rhaevyn decided to be brave and go with some layers.
It really makes her curls come alive.

Our little baby just isn't looking like one anymore.
She looks more grownup everyday!

I had put Elsa's hair up in bun-tails for church.
Chris took her hair out and told her to shake her head.
It was quite hilarious.
Hope you all have a lovely week.
