Finals Week

Happy Dance at our house this week! Finals are completed at Clark College, Rhaevyn is officially a high school graduate ๐ŸŽ“ and we've made our summer bucket lists!
Monday morning I dropped Rhaevyn and Aeva off for an hour at the college while Rhaevyn took her piano final and Aeva gathered up her pottery, and then I took the littler kids over to the Fort  Vancouver English Garden. The weather was gorgeous. We walked about half a mile down to the garden and half a mile back in 70 degree temps with a slight breeze. There were bees a buzzin', a lady bug, a dragon fly, and a sweet little birdie. It couldn't have been any better.

Starting on our walk down to the garden:

This sweet little bird perched right in front of us and sang to us.

It was like Christmas in June with everyone getting gifts from Rhaevyn and Aeva. They both had made each of us something special in pottery.
Aeva made me a pretty flower mug.
Also pictured here are her many bowls that she made. She made a little cup for Chris, which is not pictured. Elsa and Myles got mugs too.

Rhaeyn made me this adorable cow mug, and she made Chris a mug for milk and cookies. He can put his cold milk in the mug, and then he has a storage place underneath for his cookies. Brilliant!

And while we are on the subject of artistry............
Here is one of Aeva's recent drawings, a clay-man made by Myles (from leftover clay that the girls brought home), A parrot and parrot chalk drawing by Myles, and Rhaevyn's rose bush finally bloomed!!

Yesterday we did some room switch-ups. The bunk-bed was put back together, and Elsa is now rooming with Rhaeyvn and Aeva. Myles and Meg are bunking up in the other room.

This is how we found Meg last night when Myles went in to go to bed. She decided she liked his bed better :)

The end of the school year called for a celebration with ice cream from Dairy Queen!

Meg sweetly implored Chris to paint her fingernails and toenails Friday night.

I went on three bike rides this past week..........all in one evening :) One with Aeva, one with Myles, and one with Elsa and Myles.
Myles's bike broke and miraculously Chris found two bikes on the side of the road coming home from work this past week. He used one bike for parts to fix the other bike found with it. Myles and Chris worked on cleaning it up and getting the gears unfrozen. He is pretty excited about his new bike. Of course we had to go for a bike ride to try it out.

Random pictures from the week:
Elsa snuggling with Molly. We learned this week that Elsa (age 8) is the same height as Aeva when she was 10. I think she will be tall like Rhaevyn.

Our neighbor was having a garage sale yesterday, and Elsa wanted to look at what she had.
She finally talked me into it. Since my littles love Playmobile we are now the owners of this nifty Playmobile camper. It's probably one of the best $3 I've spent. Myles, Elsa, and Meg have already spent hours playing with it.

This afternoon the kids have been watching old videos of themselves. There has been lots of laughter. I thought I'd share two of their favorites here. Take a walk down memory lane :)
The kids love the music and sound effects that Chris used for this one.

I think the girls just like this one because it brings back fun memories of Nerf gun wars with Chris when they were little. Plus they just love pictures and videos of Myles when he was little.

Father's Day and More

What more can I say except that these are six of my most favoritest people in the whole of eternity. I love watching these six together. I love how much these little chicks love their dad and how very much he loves them๐Ÿ’“
 Molly, so loved, with Aeva.
 If you chance to meet a frown do not let it stay;
quickly turn it upside down and smile that frown away!

Myles and Aeva drew me some beautiful pictures in the driveway. Myles has been working on perfecting his parrot drawings.

Rhaevyn made crepes for Christopher's breakfast this morning for Father's Day.
Aeva used her gift card from her award at the college and got Chris a really nice pen with a small notepad. All the kids picked out a Ghibli movie, Arrietty, for him. I got him a few of his favorites from See's. Myles made him a snail hat, and Elsa made him an origami Father's Day card.

 Molly discovered Gigi the cat.

 Rhaevyn's graduation cake..............Raspberry Truffle..................Mmmmmmm!
Seminary diploma, High School Diploma, and Cake!
Thanks to Oma and Opa, we all got to eat out at one of Rhaevyn's favorite spots to celebrate all her hard work. Happy graduation, Rhaevyn!!!

I love this:
My older lefty teaching my younger lefty to cut with left handed scissors. This is love  <3 br="">

 Seminary Graduation:

The girls have had Sister Hokanson for the past two years. They are truly going to miss her; she is one of a kind.

Both girls had their Japanese final on Friday. I think they are happy to have that done. This week is pottery for them both, and piano and volleyball for Rhaevyn. Wednesday we can do a happy dance and let summer celebrating begin!
