Birthday Celebration

Yesterday afternoon we celebrated Myles' birthday.
Grandma and Grandpa Lindsay's present had just arrived in the mail, and Myles couldn't keep his little paws off of it.
So, we let him open it before dinner.

As he tore the paper off, he saw Mater and kept repeating "May-er, May-er" and "watch it, whatch it?"

We were trying to decide what Myles' favorite meal might be for dinner.
We settled on Spaghetti.

Once he finished his dinner, we sang to him, gave him his birthday cupcake
and let him chow down.

Myles went out to play after eating his cupcake and ran off some of the sugar. After about an hour he was ready to come back in and open the rest of his presents.

The girls had made really cute cards for him. They took turns reading their cards to him, and then they gave Myles the gift they had picked out for him.

Aeva got him a Lightning McQueen car.

"Vroom, vroom!"

Rhaevyn got him a Thomas the Train bath toy. He was quite excited to try it out.

Auntie Cullen gave Myles the book 'Why Mosquitoes Buzz in People's Ears'

Oma got Myles a cute giraffe shirt at Safari West for his birthday.

He also got a nice Lightning McQueen birthday card from Oma and Opa.

He was so excited over the stickers that he didn't even see the moohla.

Chris and I got him a wooden puzzle and some Lightning McQueen underwear. Do you see a theme here?

All in all it was a very happy, quiet and simple birthday celebration.

For all those who sent gifts, if you could have heard him yesterday,

he had a big "thank you" for each of you.
