Goings on this week..............

The highlights of our week included:

Myles's 8th birthday. Since he and Chris share the same birthday month they went out for dinner together to Red Robin for their free birthday burgers. Then Chris surprised Myles with a birthday present from the both of us...............an hour long private archery lesson. He had a blast!

Rhaevyn made him brownies topped with marshmallows, homemade chocolate butter-cream frosting, and chocolate chips. Divine! We put the sparkler candles on, and they kept relighting :)

Trip to Lewisville Park to play tennis, play in the river, and try out the new playground equipment.

A picnic up at Yale Reservoir with our friends the Levesques. We had so much fun out on the boat. It was a cooker yesterday, but it was made bearable with such great company. Aeva is not a boat person so she stayed behind with the grandparents. They were sweet to watch Meg at the picnic site. Thank goodness for shade. Rhaevyn and Elsa got to drive the boat! Bryan was sweet enough to make sure he took a picture of us with Mt. St. Helens in the background.

Then Myles and Rhaevyn got to go out on another boat ride with the other kids. We had a great time and didn't get home until around 10pm.
After showers Chris and Rhaevyn went out to look a the super moon through the telescope.
They spotted Jupiter and Saturn as well. These are the picture they took last night of the moon.

Meg:

She has been a little grumpy the last few days, but we always know how to cheer her up. She loves one particular song. We put it on for her the other day and she would have fallen out of her seat if we hadn't had her secured in. She literally sat straight forward to watch and listen to it.

See her favorite song here..........

And exciting news.....
We got a table. We contemplated making one, but time and money just wasn't on our side.
After searching and searching and praying we finally found one.
It is almost 8 feet long, but has another leaf we could put in it. Chris is going to make me two benches, so we are hoping it can seat 10- 12 people (not including the extra leaf). We are just excited it will seat all 7 of us :) It's not perfect, but it's perfect for us :)
$40 couldn't be beat!
