This week hasn't been extraordinary or anything.
Just the usual passing of the days with laughter of children, school work, laundry, dishes, simple new discoveries, cuddle time with Myles and Elsa, singing, playing outside in nice warm weather, a temper tantrum or two and a bit of sleep thrown in there.
Grandma Lindsay sent this very soft, warm blanket.
Elsa sleeps really good wrapped in it.
I love the colors.
I thought I had enough blankets, but I really didn't
Not nice warm ones for nighttime sleeping anyway.
I've had to borrow one or two from Myles when she explodes out of her diaper, and I have to wash her one really nice blanket I made her.
He doesn't like sharing his two favorite blankets.
So, a big thank you to Grandma Lindsay!
I was just saying the other day that it is a challenge to have Elsa wear
all her clothes at least once before she outgrows them.
I felt like I was forever changing Rhaevyn because she was always exploding out of her diapers, but I haven't felt like I was having to change Elsa that much. At least not during the day.
Nighttime is a different story. She has gotten a lot of use out of her pajamas.
I think I spoke too soon because in the last three days I have had to change her outfits a lot.
All three girls have now worn this outfit.
It is one of my favorites.
So summery!
Big brother Myles with his little friend and sister, Elsa
I think there is something special between these two.
Myles made up his own song the other day.
Myles playing ball with Rhaevyn.
Aeva and Myles playing what he calls 'crizpy'
It's definitely springtime around here.....
flowers blooming, leafy trees, birds chirping in the trees and all the babies being born....
"...Wilbur stood watching his precious sac. As he stood there, he noticed something move. He stepped closer and stared."
And we all stared too!
This reminded me so much of Charlotte's Web. This was at our back sliding door, but earlier in the week we had the same thing on the screen of our bedroom window. Myles stood there for what seemed forever with a magnifying glass looking at all the tiny spiders run in and out of the screen.
Today I asked Rhaevyn if she would like to help me scrapbook. Seeings how I am way behind I thought I'd kill two birds with one stone. I'd get help, and she'd have some fun time being creative, or so I thought. She obviously could see right through my plan. She looked at me and very seriously said "Mom, it's our job (the kids) to make the memories. Your job is to scrapbook the memories."
Right now one of Myles' standard sayings, whenever he asks to do something or asks for something to eat and I reply with a "yes", is "OH BOY, MOM, THANKS!"
I think I have mentioned how he loves oatmeal. We've been out of it for a couple weeks, but I bought some last weekend. When he saw me take the box out of the shopping bag he asked "Mom, did you get that for me?" I told him of course. I got a big hug around the legs with a "oh boy, mom, thanks!"
My other favorite thing that he does right now is just out of the blue he will give me a big hug and tell me "Your the best mom in the whole world." To which I reply "you are my most favorite Myles in the whole world."
I think the payment I get for being the mom of my four precious babes is far greater than any gold, silver or paper money.
