Just a bit of an update

Here are some random pictures from this past week.
I love watching the girls with Elsa. They are such sweet little mommies.
However, what makes my heart skip a beat is watching Myles with her.

I love that he loves her so much.

Rhaevyn is my little photographer these days.
I am always catching her snapping pictures and video clips of Elsa.

Elsa is really starting to smile when any of us talk to her.

She is also starting (as I like to say) "talk" in this sweet little voice.

We all just love it and eat it up.

Chris brought me home these beautiful roses for our anniversary.

They smell sooooo good!

On Friday we went out on a date.
We had Red Lobster...thanks to mom and dad!
And the kids had the most fabulous night with Marissa and Jamie.
Thanks so much Marissa for watching the kiddos, and Jamie for doing such an awesome job picking up the living room.
It is quite evident that my kids love you guys, as they don't like you to leave to go home :)

Before we left on our date, Aeva wanted her hair cut.

I probably asked her fifty times if she was absolutely sure.

She is such a stinker because as soon as I cut a big chunk of hair off she says to me "I don't know, are you sure I should have my hair cut?"
I think my jaw dropped, and then she laughed.

After

It looks a bit better when it is all washed and dried.

This is Rhaevyn's new outfit.

I splurged a bit and got her an outfit to wear to church.

She just keeps growing,

but not fast enough to fit into all the

hand-me-downs I have hanging in her closet.

Myles kept trying to jump over the sun spot on the carpet the other day.
He is so funny when he wants me to see any kind of "trick."
He tells me not to close my eyes.
Once the trick has been done he checks to make sure I have my eyes on him.
If my eyes have strayed for any reason, he says to me "Awwww mom, you weren't watching....I'll do it again. Don't close your eyes mom!"
He is quite the character and quite entertaining.

15 years and counting.....

To the man who has always made me feel like Ginger Rogers,

even if I do step on his toes.....

We've come a long way since the day these pictures were taken.



I wouldn't trade the last 15 years with you for anything.
I'm sure the best is yet to come!

Picnic at Lucia Falls

We had a picnic lunch up the road at Lucia Falls today.
We talked about all the wonderful freedoms that we enjoy here in this country and how thankful we are for all the men and women (and their families) who have given of their time and lives to help keep it free and protected.

We had ham sandwiches and then shared each other's chips.

We finished off with apple slices and a walk around the trail.

these five, Chris, Rhaevyn, Aeva, Myles and Elsa,

are the sunshine of my life.
