A Look Back at the Week

Last Saturday the girls and I went to a birthday party for my best friend's youngest daughter, Kylie. It was at Lewisville Park, which is just down the road from us. We had beautiful weather. The girls had fun playing ball, frisbee and skipping rocks in the river.

We think Kylie is the girl's triplet.
She has the same hair and coloring.

Here I am with my best friend, Jill, and all our kids (minus Myles).

Just the girls.

It is hard to believe that we have been best friends for 20 years.

We don't feel old enough to have known each other for that long.

The kids were having fun with their popsicles.

They kept putting their popsicles together and saying "popsicle power!"

Christopher's birthday celebration.

What a good guy to eat burnt pizza on his birthday.

Rhaevyn gave Chris a cute card with a dollar bill.
She told him to spend if very carefully.

Rhaevyn's new hobby is catching baby grasshoppers.
She has become quite proficient at it, and she even names them.
I believe this one is Harold.

At Activity Days this week, Rhaevyn made a pillow and decorated it.
She was excited to hear that there is a famous clothing designer
with the same initials as her.

Ever the entertainer around here, it's Aeva!
Bright, colorful and full of life.

Until the next entry, Auf Wiedersehen!

Looking Back

Moving Forward
"Mothers,

Yours is the work of salvation, and therefore you will be magnified, compensated, made more than you are and better than you have ever been as you try to make honest effort, however feeble you may sometimes feel that to be.....Do the best you can through these years, but whatever else you do, cherish that role that is so uniquely yours and for which heaven itself sends angels to watch over you and your little ones...The very fact that you have been given such a responsibility is everlasting evidence of the trust your Father in Heaven has in you...If you strive to love God, if you try your best to be the best parent you can be, you will have done all that a human being can do and all that God expects you to do...Remember, remember all the days of your motherhood: 'Ye have not come thus far save it were by the word of Christ with unshaken faith in him, relying wholly upon the merits of him who is mighty to save.' Rely on Him. rely on Him heavily. Rely on Him forever. And 'press forward with a steadfastness in Christ, having a perfect brightness of hope. You are doing God's work."

On Another Note...

So, my bestfriend and I have decided to do a garage sale on Saturday, hence the three filled bags. No sense holding on to what one is not using.

But, before selling my creations that I have finally decided to part with, I thought I'd share a few photos of them.

It's My Main Squeeze's Birthday Today!

Yep, the big guy is 37 today.

In accordance with past birthdays, I've decided to do a photo tribute to him too!

Enjoy the trip down Chris' past 37 years.

Brand new to the world.

Chris wearing an Amish hat while on his mission in Ohio.

What would a trip down memory lane be without a tribute to all of the cars Chris has owned.

By the way, I am sure I am missing pictures of at least two of his cars.

Current daily driver.

Current project/hobby and my nemesis.

Where's Waldo, I mean Chris?

Happy Birthday Dear!

May happy days come to you all year!
