Hello October, Goodbye October

 Okay, I've finally got a few minutes to sit down and post what's new around here. I can't believe it's been a month since my last post!!! I have lots of pictures, but I'll probably be brief with words 😀Also, this will all be out of order, sorry :😞

Let's see, where to begin???

I was cutting onions for a recipe, and my eyes were watering like crazy, making it hard to see. Myles brought me swimming goggles, Chris was kind enough to put them on me, but then they started to steam up so I really couldn't see!!

Today, October 23rd, I delivered five quilts to one of the local hospitals. It took me a bit, but I got them done. I was pinning the tags on and realized that I only have two of them left. Over the past four years there have been over 75 quilts made for Project Mother of an Angel Baby and donated to two of our local hospitals as well as two mom's in my ward. My heart is so full. So many people have helped in so many different ways over these four years. I will forever be grateful💖

 

 

 

 

 

The last two:

 The first weekend in October was General Conference. Elsa couldn't wait for the Women's General Session. Here we are off to the Stake Center......

 
 And a treat afterwards. It was so much fun to spend the evening with Miss Elsa.

 

 
 I've been trying out some new breakfast and dinner recipes:

 I went rogue and tried a muffin in a mug that kind of tasted like a snicker doodle, and I put a dollop of whipped cream on half of it:

Then I made myself some treats:
Chocolate PB balls, Strawberry frozen balls, and dark chocolate dipped strawberries:

Pancakes made with almond and coconut flour which actually weren't too bad:

 

 Myles and Elsa got new glasses. Unfortunately I don't have a picture of Myles with his new glasses, but I do have pictures of Elsa:

Meg really wishes that she had glasses. Elsa donated one of her older pairs to her. We just popped out the lenses.

After a few weeks the nose pads broke off, so I found an old pair of Aeva's glasses and popped the lenses out of those. So far they are holding up.

I love how Meg is dressed in this picture. Pink, yellow, and green stripes with black, pink and yellow plaid. Love it!!

Science.........
I was doing a little lesson on clouds with Meg, and Myles and Elsa thought that sounded fun and joined in.

 

 

Myles and Elsa are studying various types of engineering for science this year. Here is our fun activity for aerospace engineering:

 I've been trying to lighten our schoolwork two days of the week so that we can have time to play some games together.

 We made a desk for the little girls in their room and painted their window trim:

 Elsa wanted to go to the local High school football game. It was a long, cold, rainy night, and our team only scored one touchdown.

 I made a new pair of earrings.

 One Saturday Elsa had her date with Chris. Elsa wanted to go to the go kart place. She ended up driving Chris and had a blast. Then they went to a salt water fish shop. I was shopping with Meg and Myles. We decided to all meet up at Ikea. This is what the sky looked like before we left Costco to head down to Portland:

 

 As we headed over the bridge it started to downpour. It was crazy!!! My windshield wipers could not keep up! As we pulled into the Ikea parking lot it started to hail. It sounded like golf balls were hitting the roof of our car. There was a fantastic thunder and lightening storm too and a pretty good cloud rotation. The hail was the size of marbles!!

  This made my heart smile :)

Meg is no longer taking Scottish dancing with Elsa. Her class meets right before Elsa's. While Meg was in class, one day, I took Elsa over to the playground.

Two classes back to back can make for a long evening. I usually wait for Meg's class to finish, and then when Elsa's class rolls around I visit a nearby store for the restroom. I need to learn to not drink so much water before I leave to take them to dance.

I ran to Costco one night. Meg and I had fun just meandering the store and looking at the stuff I never usually do.

 

 

 I ended up leaving with a hotdog for Meg and one for Elsa for when her class was over.

Another night I ran to Chuck's for a restroom and ended up leaving with three tacos, but that fed the three of us.

It was nice that the girls had full tummies so they could just get to bed when they got home😁

 Lastly, here is our Molly dog, who almost was no longer.............

 We took her in to get groomed at the beginning of the month. Normally Myles carries her in, but this time we had her in her harness and on a leash to walk her in. She decided she was not going inside. She stood up on her hind legs, and just like Houdini she slipped out of her harness with lightning speed. She then proceeded to run out onto Main Street, which is normally pretty  busy. With all of us yelling and screaming her name and running towards her she planted her bottom on the road just inches from the nearest lane. She just about gave me a heart attack!! Thank goodness it all ended well, and she looked so pretty after her grooming appointment:
