Lewisvill Park x2, Pictures in Cherry Blossoms, and Graduation Photos

Last week I was blessed with another time out with my best friend. We've been making up for lost time! While we were out Chris took the kids over to Lewisville Park. They had a blast! They always love going there. When I got home they were all trying at once to tell me what they did there, how high the water was, and how fast the water was flowing.

On Thursday my best friend was kind enough to go with me to lend me her opinion on eye glasses. There was much laughter at trying on all sorts of styles. I finally settled on a pair, which Aeva had given me the thumbs up on several days earlier. I decided to get a pair of prescription sunglasses too. I've never, in my twenty years of needing prescription glasses for driving, owned a pair. I've always wanted a pair, but never seemed to be able to justify the cost. I went to Costco this time around, and that made it in the budget. I'm hoping I really like both pairs when they come in. I've entered the realm of bifocals!!! I took the plunge!

This weekend Chris went up to surprise Ben for his birthday, which was last Sunday. It was really Stacey's present to Ben. Chris parked up the road a bit by their barn. I guess Ben saw the car, but didn't realize it was Chris. He was thinking he was going to have to go deal with some "yahoo" that decided to park there. Chris waited just outside the door for eight minutes before Ben opened it up to come outside. Chris jumped up and yelled "Happy birthday, Ben!" It totally startled Ben. I told him it is a good thing he's still young and doesn't have any type of heart conditions! They've had a great weekend together. Here they are with their virtual reality headsets on playing a game together. The kids sure have missed Chris. They skyped with him yesterday. They've asked, since he left on Friday, when he will be home. They assured me that they love me very much, but they miss doing things with him and feel much safer with him here. They sure do love him!
The sun finally decided to come out yesterday afternoon. Rhaevyn suggested we head to Lewisville Park before we have to start paying to get in. So, we all packed up and went. I talked her into letting me take some pictures of her for graduation announcements. We tried to incorporate props in the pictures that are hobbies for her: books, scones, violin (love of reading, baking, and music).

I was amazed at how high the water level is and how fast the current is.

Here the kids are at play:

A few of our favorites that we took of Rhaevyn:

Rhaevyn took some pictures of Elsa in her baptism dress yesterday afternoon:

Rhaevyn dressed Aeva up the other day and took some pictures of her:

This week Rhaevyn tried out a scone recipe. She made scones using fresh blackberries for her seminary potluck on Friday, and she made scones with fresh raspberries for our breakfast yesterday. They were so delicious!

Rhaevyn has also been busy painting more rocks to hide:

Meg and I had a toenail painting party. It's the first time she's had her toenails painted, and she loves that we have matching toenails :)

I just love the outfits Meg makes up for herself. This is a pretty normal daily outfit for her: shirt or nightgown at the waist and a shirt over that.

Last but not least.....pictures of our pooch:

When I put on an exercise video it is like a magnet for my kids. I don't know why I should think it would be any different for Molly:

Meg decided to build a tower of blankets around Molly.....
I am not sure how much Molly enjoyed it, or how much she enjoyed the mass amount of love Meg was giving her.

And with that we say goodbye to March and welcome to April.
Next up.......Elsa's birthday and her baptism, and Rhaevyn's 18th birthday 😊
