Yesterday we had a three year old well child check for Myles and Elsa's four month old check up.
Did I really type that??? Four months old already?
Yup!
Our littlest Lindsay is now weighing in at 15 pounds even,
and measuring 25 inches in length.
She is one tall girl.
Myles, my little ham, now weighs in at 35 pounds.
He is 3 feet and two inches tall.
I had to laugh, yesterday, I was playing his shape matching game with him. I showed him a shape and asked if he knew what it was. He didn't, and so I told him it was a hexagon. He said "Hey, I ate a hepsagon." I thought maybe he was just being funny, but he repeated that he had eaten one. I had to think about it for a minute, and he had indeed eaten a "hepsagon." He had eaten cheese crackers in the shape of a hexagon.Today he told me he was hungry. I replied "Well then go eat your bagel silly." At which he replied "Is that how we talk, mom?"
As I am typing this he is asking me to pick which Hot Wheels car I want to play with. I am going to pick the cool looking medic car. Oh, he told me to try again. I guess I get the Sea Wave van. This guy cracks me up. Oh, now it is time to pick a dinosaur. I am going to pick the brontosaurus. Oops, I need to try again he says. So, I guess it is the green stegosaurus for me.
He is back to sleeping better once again. This is in part due to tough love (which was very hard. I was feeling like a grumpy and bad mommy. I will fully vouch for being a grumpy mommy). And also in part due to the suggestion of a night light. Since putting a night light in his room he has slept wonderfully.
The girls are leisurely working on school work these days.
Aeva played soccer yesterday at Achievement days. She loved it.
Rhaevyn played Jeopardy at her Achievement days activity. She won the most points.
Oh Rhaevyn's big news....she entered a recipe contest for Red Robin.
She calls it Italian Chicken Supreme.
I made over the couch pillows this last weekend.
I took an old off white sheet and redid our big green pillows.
Here are the smaller pillows that I redid.
I am not sure you can tell, but I pleated this piece of material and slipped it over the new case I made.
Last week the kids had fun painting outside. Poor Myles slipped in all the paint that he had doused the paper with . He was stuck with feet and hands in the paint and butt in the air. He had paint all over him.
Peaceful slumber.
